Sophie and her puppies

Organized by Respect-A-Bull Dog rescue

Up Date from foster mom:
Sophie and Pups are doing fairly well. It's been a struggle get enough food into Sophie for her to be able to produce enough milk for her very hungry puppies and also put on a little weight. She was extremely underweight when she came to me. and is still very thin. I have such a hard time getting my head around the fact that anyone could let this little girl go. She hasn't shown even a hint of aggression. She seems to get along with everyone, man, woman, dog or cat.

The pups are getting adventurous. They climb all over her and keep getting lost on the wrong side. I find them piled behind her frantically trying to find a nipple. Alice(#2) is bossy as can be. She's the only of the puppies that seems to get pissed off when she can't find what she wants. Bella ( the one with the white patches) is very chill. She spends her days eating and sleeping and sleeping and eating with very little complaint. Roxy (the girl with the pink nose) is quite an adventurer. She's always the first pup to get lost behind mom and the first to make her way out of the crate. Max (the smallest Boy) is sweet and snuggley. When I pick him up he wriggles his way into the nearest nook, curls up and is off to sleep. Rasputin (I'm not so sure that's really his name) is another of the great explores. Following his sister out of the crate whenever he gets the chance. the last little girl still doesn't have a name. She is pretty chill but always willing to join in on an adventure.
Sophie and her pups
Sophie came into our rescue November 1,2009.She was dumped in the bush to have her pups all alone. Someone had found her took her to the Abbotsford animal control. We got an email asking to take her in. so.......

We took the poor girl in the next day.............

Sophie, the very pregnant, beautiful blue pit bull grrrl who became a Respect-A-Bull only just yesterday, is currently having an emergency c-section! Baby #1 was still born :(, baby #2 is a feisty little female, and baby #3 got stuck, thus the c-section. Send all the good, positive, healing hippie vibes you can to this grrrl.

Sophie is home with her puppies!!!!!!!! Six survived, 2 boys and 4 girls. sadly #3 didn't make it

Mum and pups are all happy healthy and finally resting quietly in a foster home.

I have to say this crew is SO lucky to have made it into rescue. Due to Mama needing a c-section, mom and pups would have likely not made it out alive otherwise.

We would like to raise money for her and the pups vet bill.
